[SQ] Day 11 - Hi - Spring Card!

Hey!

Today's card features an old background stamp from Penny Black. I bought this stamp a while ago but have hardly used it. Since we are in the spring season, I thought that it would be perfect to make a card with this stamp. I stamped it on white paper and colored it with my watercolor paints. I loved how the coloring turned out, I guess I'm finally getting the hang of it! Once I finished coloring, I fussy cut it and added it to a card base. Then I stuck the word - HI from my alphabets sticker collection. Finally, I finished the card by adding a black border.

[SQ] Day 10 - A Pocket Message

Hello!

Hope all of you are staying safe at home. After crafting back-to-back for the last four days, I feel that I am finally in the right crafting spirit. There will be a lot of projects coming your way!

For today's project, I decided to use two of my favorite stamp sets from Lawn Fawn (fox) and Little Birdie (sentiment). I wanted to create a pocket and decided that the sketch by Fusion for their current challenge would be perfect. I drew and cut out the fence and used patterned paper scraps to create the scene . I then stamped the foxes, colored them and stuck them to a white paper strip to create the note which would be inserted into the pocket-fence. Finally finished off the card with a few flower sequins which are more than five years old. You can see the pocket in the pictures below, the sentiment is visible in the second picture which shows the sentiment clearly.

[SQ] Day 9 - Recycled Card #1

Hey!

For today's project, I decided to recycle a brown paper bag and use it as my card base. Next, I added pieces of pattern paper and pages from an old notebook to make my background. I followed the second sketch(given below) from Sweet Sketch Wednesday's current challenge. I stamped a bear on a sheet and colored it with my watercolor paints. After assembling the card, I added sequins to finish it.

[SQ] Day 8 - Easter Time

Hey everyone!

Since Holy Week has started, I decided to make a seasonal Easter project. Drew a basket of eggs and colored it with my Camel watercolor palette. I have had it for almost 10 years and it seems like it gets more pigmented with every use. By following the Sketch provided by Sweet Sketch Wednesday's challenge, I glued down two pattern papers and three sequins to complete the card.

[SQ] Day 7 - Mandala Card

Hey,

Hope you are all doing well.

For today's project, I decided to sit back and draw as drawing has been calming me lately. I decided to draw a mandala as it always calms and soothes me. After researching on Pinterest, I found one that I liked a lot. For those of you who find it hard to stay motivated to craft/make art, Pinterest is a great platform as there are 1000+ pins with so many ideas that I'm sure you will find one which suits you.

The drawing took me a good three hours while coloring another two hours. The five hour period was completely worth it as I feel in love with the result.

[#SQ] Day 1 - Doodled View Master Card

Hey,

In this time of crisis I hope all of you are safe and doing well, I also hope everyone is following the quarantine regulations as per their county. Many of us are bored and tired being on a quarantine lockdown with nothing to do, but we can all use time to awaken our creative side. Use this time to get productive and find out how you can make the best use of your time home.

So since we are in Quarantine I thought it would be fun and interesting to do a 30-day challenge where I make new and maybe challenging crafts to push my boundaries and post it so I do have motivation as well.

Today I thought of making a type of card which I haven't tried before - View-Master Card. After watching a few tutorials I decided to go for this one. I did not want it to be the cliched shapes so I got inspired by a pin on Pinterest and decided to interpret it my way. I have always loved drawing as a kid and had stopped it for the last few years. So I picked up my pen and doodled away. Colored the images with my watercolor pencils.
