Heartfelt Wishes | Cross Stitch Rectangle Background

 Hey,

Today's card features the My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Rectangle Background die once again. I really love how classy and elegant these cross stitched cards look.

For the design, I decided to follow the MFT Printable Resources and used the background heart design. Even though Valentine's Day has just gone by, I think this card would be perfect to let anyone know how much they mean to you.

I used two colors - red and cream for the pattern as I wanted a soft look. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Essential sentiments stamp set. I added a few silver stones over the hearts so that they could pop up. The cardstocks used are once again from Letzcraft.

With Thanks | Cross Stitch Rectangle Background

Hey everyone,

It feels great to be back crafting after a while. I took a break for sometime as I felt a bit overwhelmed with all that was happening. I did make a few crafty purchases during this time and I got quite a few new supplies that I'm so excited to try!

Today's card features the My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Rectangle Background die. During my school days, I used to have needle work as a subject. While I loved how different it was in comparison to my other subjects, I wasn't a fan of it as all that we used to do was learn basic stitches and create simple designs on home decor pieces.

After that, I almost stopped anything related to embroidery/stitching until during lockdown last year, I came across a bunch of posts with stitching on cards, bookmarks, tags, etc and I instantly knew that I had to give it a shot.

I tried to play around with the background a couple of times until I finalized this one. I love how the combination of blue + yellow stands out on a dark background. For the background, I decided to do a mixture of two shades of blue in a chevron pattern inspired by Jennifer McGuire's video. For the flowers, I used the Altenew Adore you stamp set and stamped the two smallest flowers and leaves onto some watercolor paper and colored them with my Distress inks. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Wplus9 Beautiful Bouquet Ranunculus onto some black cardstock. Lastly, I added all the elements to the panel and foam mounted it to a white card base by LetzCraft. (I really love their wide selection of good colors and quality papers that comes at a great price and in great sizes too)

[SQ] Day 10 - A Pocket Message

Hello!

Hope all of you are staying safe at home. After crafting back-to-back for the last four days, I feel that I am finally in the right crafting spirit. There will be a lot of projects coming your way!

For today's project, I decided to use two of my favorite stamp sets from Lawn Fawn (fox) and Little Birdie (sentiment). I wanted to create a pocket and decided that the sketch by Fusion for their current challenge would be perfect. I drew and cut out the fence and used patterned paper scraps to create the scene . I then stamped the foxes, colored them and stuck them to a white paper strip to create the note which would be inserted into the pocket-fence. Finally finished off the card with a few flower sequins which are more than five years old. You can see the pocket in the pictures below, the sentiment is visible in the second picture which shows the sentiment clearly.

Lulupu's 4th Birthday Card!

Hey Guys! I'm back again! So currently I'm watching the India vs West Indies T20 Semi Final and writing this post as I am free only now.I love Cricket and today's match is gonna be a cracker one!May the best team win(Even though I want India to win :p)Anyways back to my post,so today I'm sharing a card with a tutorial which I've created for Lulupu's 4th Birthday Bash Challenge.I know that I'm very late, but I was so busy with work, studies as I'm preparing for my entrances.I'm really sorry for the poor picture quality as most of the pics are clicked in the evening so hence the poor light quality.
So now onto the tutorial,
Step 1:
So first,I chose a thick paper from my old notebook and cut a piece from it.

Step 2:
Next I applied some Camlin Texture White in some areas with an old toothbrush.

Step 3:

Next I used some Camlin acrylic colours in the shades silver, titanium white, permanent rose, medium magenta and brilliant purple along with some distress ink in the shade worn lipstick.I mixed and matched the colours along with some texture white to get the desired background as shown above.
Step 4:
I stuck a piece of patterned paper and this mesh which I up cycled from an old flower bouquet. You get these in the big flower bouquets and I always collect them.

Step 5:
I made these handmade flowers from online tutorials, punched out a few flowers from my flower punches and fussy cut some leaves.

Step 6:

So finally,I added the flowers, leaves along with a handwritten sentiment, some silver buttons and I used this glitter glue in purple and red to add some more details.

Here's a closer look at the card!

Happy Easter 2016! And a card

Hey Guys!
Firstly,A Happy Easter to everyone! I know I am a bit late but this whole week is celebrated as Easter week.So finally I'm back after 2 years.Yes i know it was a long gap as after my 10th boards I got busy with college/studies/commitments etc.But I decided that once my 12th std boards get over I will venture into blogging/crafting even more!So I got done with my boards last week and ever since then I've been organising, cleaning and arranging my stuff neatly into place.I know I do not have most of the crafting essentials as my parents think that they are overpriced etc.But I finally convinced my dad to buy a few items and I will do so next week.So now I made a really simple card.
So for this card,I drew a half mandala.A mandala is a type of doodling and it is very intricate and delicate. It requires alot of patience. So after sketching it,I coloured it with sketch pens in different colours and stuck a piece of punched white paper over t and wrote a sentiment "Happy Easter" to complete it.
I would like to enter thus card for the following challenges:
Thank you so much for going through my post!I'll be back very soon.Happy Crafting x
