Fathers Day card

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA as I was busy with college admissions. So I was watching a lot of Youtube videos and I'm hooked on to thefrugalcrafters videos. She's amazing and I love all her tutorials. I wanted to make a Fathers Day card, so I decided to make this easel card which is from one of her videos. Also, I've used the origami technique for the words- DAD. You can find the online. Here are a few closeups of the card.

Galaxy shaker card

Hey Guys!
Today I'm back again with a shaker card.I saw a video on youtube a while ago on how to make a background shaker card and wanted to do so ever since. This is the card.
For the background,I painted a galaxy using my acrylic paints and for the shaker,I used different silver colored sequins and gems so that they represent stars.I also punch out some stars from a silver foil since I did not have star sequins.Lastly,I wrote the sentiment- LIGHTS WILL GUIDE YOU HOME as I felt it would suit the background perfectly. Here are a few closeups.I am sorry for the bad camera quality, will surely get better with time (:

Altered Chalkboard Journal Cover

Hey Guys!So since a long time I wanted to alter a diary cover so that I could turn it into a journal for my work. But I never got the time until a few weeks back when I saw the challenge at Lessology was to incorporate Chalkboard into your work,I knew that this was the perfect time.So here is a picture of the diary before being altered.

And here it is after being altered.

I had planned it to come out in another way but since I was short on time,I decided to do it this way.Now the first challenge was-Chalkboard paint.Since I didn't want to spend money on buying the paint,I thought of making it at home. After watching many videos on youtube,I finally got the perfect recipe. So in a bowl I took 2 tablespoons of black acrylic paint and 1 tablespoon of baking soda.So the proportion should be 2:1.I mixed it and painted the cover.Next I started making handmade flowers by different techniques and it took me quite some time.Lastly,I arranged them to make a border and glued them down. This took me 3 days to make and I'm satisfied with the effort.Lastly since I didn't have chalk to write on,I was going to use my Camlin soft pastels as they are equivalent to chalks but I could not find them in time. Here is a closer look.

Linking it up to the following challenges:
1)Lessology-Chalkboard fun

2)The paper shelter-flowers

3)613 avenue create-Anything goes

Glue Painting Technique Card

Hey Guys!
So today I'm sharing a card based on the Glue Painting technique. So I've seen many videos based on this and I wanted to incorporate this into my card.
So first on a piece of paper,I drew a pattern on the paper and then went over it with my fevicol tube.Once that dried up,I colored in with my desired colors.I assembled my card with different types of handmade flowers. Here's a closer look at the flowers.
I would like to enter this for the following challenges:
1)Inkspirational challenge-109(Photo Inspiration) (I got inspired by the colors in the photo)
3)Time Out-Home sweet home photo inspiration (I got inspired by the colors in the window)

Fun Summer Cards

Hey guys!What's up?
So I've been MIA due to work.I've been working with AIESEC,The world's largest youth run NPO for different social causes and most of my time gets devoted there.I have no complaints as I love my job!So I got some time yesterday and I decided to follow up some challenges. Also today is my mom's birthday but i couldn't make anything for her :/ Anyways here are two cards that I made. They are fun and easy to make :D
So for these two cards,I've used the method called IRIS folding. It's a very versatile method and I like the effect that it gives. So I made an ice cream card and a lemonade cup card.I had made a lemonade card earlier too but it wasn't the same way. That was a flat and simple card.So first on two rough papers I went in with different colours here and there.the I covered one card with vintage photo DI and the other one with faded jeans DI.then using my new stamp sets that I got from Itsy Bitsy recently, I stamped here and there to give different patterns and textures. They are the Vintage flowers and squares & oval stamps by Itsy Bitsy.Once that was done,I cut out 2 inch strips vertically and folded them in the center.Next for the cup,I layered a piece of paper on which I cut out the cup stencil over a square template and started filling in the lines. You can find these templates anywhere on the net.For the cone,I made my own template and then went in with the strips.Once these two were done,I added them to a card base. For the ice cream,I tore small pieces of paper and made  collage with it.I used my 3D red and white out liner to draw the cherry, stuck some pink sequins for the toppings and wrote my sentiment. For the cup card,I drew a straw and lemon slice and painted them with my favourite acrylic paints.I wanted my cup and cone to have the mixed media type of look, hence I made them this way. These are really fun to make CAS cards and I would say that IRIS folding is one of my favourite techniques now. Here are a few closeups of the card.

I would like to enter them for the following challenges:

3)Parus Card Making Challenges_ Summer (Well doesn't ice cream and lemonade scream out summer?)
4)PeekaBoo Designs- Inspire yourself (I got inspired by Manu Gupta's fun card as shown below.I love her take on the stamp set.I used the ice cream elements, the bright colors, stamping, sequins and 3D glitter gel)

Hope you all like my cards. Thanks for reading my post and do leave some love (:

Lulupu's 4th Birthday Card!

Hey Guys! I'm back again! So currently I'm watching the India vs West Indies T20 Semi Final and writing this post as I am free only now.I love Cricket and today's match is gonna be a cracker one!May the best team win(Even though I want India to win :p)Anyways back to my post,so today I'm sharing a card with a tutorial which I've created for Lulupu's 4th Birthday Bash Challenge.I know that I'm very late, but I was so busy with work, studies as I'm preparing for my entrances.I'm really sorry for the poor picture quality as most of the pics are clicked in the evening so hence the poor light quality.
So now onto the tutorial,
Step 1:
So first,I chose a thick paper from my old notebook and cut a piece from it.

Step 2:
Next I applied some Camlin Texture White in some areas with an old toothbrush.

Step 3:

Next I used some Camlin acrylic colours in the shades silver, titanium white, permanent rose, medium magenta and brilliant purple along with some distress ink in the shade worn lipstick.I mixed and matched the colours along with some texture white to get the desired background as shown above.
Step 4:
I stuck a piece of patterned paper and this mesh which I up cycled from an old flower bouquet. You get these in the big flower bouquets and I always collect them.

Step 5:
I made these handmade flowers from online tutorials, punched out a few flowers from my flower punches and fussy cut some leaves.

Step 6:

So finally,I added the flowers, leaves along with a handwritten sentiment, some silver buttons and I used this glitter glue in purple and red to add some more details.

Here's a closer look at the card!

4)As you like it-Bingo (My favourite line is Fussy & Fancy, pink and purple because these are my all time favourites.Pink is my favourite colour so,and I feel that fussy and fancy would be one of my favourite styles)

Happy Easter 2016! And a card

Hey Guys!
Firstly,A Happy Easter to everyone! I know I am a bit late but this whole week is celebrated as Easter week.So finally I'm back after 2 years.Yes i know it was a long gap as after my 10th boards I got busy with college/studies/commitments etc.But I decided that once my 12th std boards get over I will venture into blogging/crafting even more!So I got done with my boards last week and ever since then I've been organising, cleaning and arranging my stuff neatly into place.I know I do not have most of the crafting essentials as my parents think that they are overpriced etc.But I finally convinced my dad to buy a few items and I will do so next week.So now I made a really simple card.
So for this card,I drew a half mandala.A mandala is a type of doodling and it is very intricate and delicate. It requires alot of patience. So after sketching it,I coloured it with sketch pens in different colours and stuck a piece of punched white paper over t and wrote a sentiment "Happy Easter" to complete it.
I would like to enter thus card for the following challenges:
Thank you so much for going through my post!I'll be back very soon.Happy Crafting x
